TS TET Procedure of Online Exam Computer Based Test

 

Procedure of conduct of Computer Based Test (CBT) of TS TET-2024 is as follows.

Candidates are advised to go through the following instructions carefully before going for the Examination.

TS TET Online Exam Procedure


The candidates should adhere to the instructions given on the Hall Ticket. Further,

The candidate must show, on demand, the Hall Ticket for admission in the examination room / hall. A candidate who does not possess the Hall Ticket issued by the TS TET Office shall not be permitted for the examination under any circumstances by the Test Centre In charge.

Total duration of examination is 150 minutes (2½ hours) The timer is provided on the top right corner of the screen. After commencement of the examination, the remaining time for the examination is shown on top right corner of the screen.

Examination will be over once the countdown timer reaches zero.

Candidate shall not under any circumstances be permitted to the examination hall after the commencement of the examination.

Subjects in the examination are displayed on the top bar of the screen. Questions in a subject can be viewed by clicking on the section name. The section that candidate is currently viewing is highlighted.

Candidate can shuffle among subjects and questions any time during the examination as per her / his convenience.

The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question

The Marked for Review status for a question simply indicates that you would like to look at that question again. If a question is answered and Marked for Review, your answer for that question will be considered in the evaluation.

Click on the ">" arrow button to maximize the question window. To view the question palette again, you can click on "<" which appears on the right side of the question window.

 

How to answer a question in TS TET Online Exam Computer Based Test

Click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question directly.

Read the question and the Four distractors given and click on the button against the distractor you think is the correct answer for the question.

Click on Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.

In case you want to review your question later, click on Mark for Review & Next to save your answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.

If a question is answered and Marked for Review, the answer for that question will be considered in the evaluation even if the candidate could not Review the question for any reason.

To save your answer, click on the Save & Next button.

To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question for answering then follow the same steps as above.

Carrying of Calculators, Mathematical / Log Tables, Pagers, Cell Phones, Wristwatches or any other Electronic Gadgets and personal belongings into the examination hall is strictly prohibited. In case, the candidate carries any personal belongings, he / she has to keep them outside the examination hall at candidate’s own risk. The authorities of the test centre will not be held responsible for any loss or damage of such items.

No candidate, without the special permission of the Centre In-charge or the Invigilator concerned, will leave her / his seat or Examination Room until the full duration of the paper is over.

Smoking in the Examination Hall / Room is strictly prohibited.

Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks are not allowed to be taken into the examination rooms during examination hours.

The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Hall ticket.

Unfair Means: Candidates shall maintain perfect silence and attend to their Question Paper only. Any conversation or gesticulation or disturbance in the Examination Room/ Hall shall be deemed as misbehavior. If a candidate is found using unfair means or impersonating, her/his candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will be liable to be debarred for taking examination either permanently or for a specified period according to the nature of offence. If any candidate is in possession of any item/s that are prohibited in the examination hall, her/his candidature for current examination will be cancelled and also liable to be debarred for future examination(s).

Further TS TET is covered by ACT No.25 of 1997 of Prohibition of Malpractices in Examinations. If any candidate or any person commits any offence in Exam/Test, she/he will be liable for severe action including criminal proceedings.

The candidates must sign on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place.

Rough Work for TS TET Online Exam:

Blank (White) papers will be provided for rough work in the examination hall. Candidates have to handover the rough sheets to the invigilator concerned after the end of the examination.

The candidate after satisfying herself/himself about the eligibility criteria for TSTET shall pay a fee as shown below.

Whats is the Application Fee for TET in Telangana ?

Rs.1000/-(Rupees One Thousand only) if appearing for a single paper (i.e., only Paper I or only Paper II). 

Rs.2000/-(Rupees Two Thousand only) if appearing for Both Papers (i.e.,Paper I and Paper II). 

Candidate can pay the Fee through Online payment options provided on the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in between 27-03-2024 to 10-04-2024 for submission of application Online. At the time of Online Payment, the candidate has to give the required preliminary data.

On receipt of online fee payment, the candidate shall be issued a  TS TET Journal Number with which she/he can proceed with submission of application online. Issue of Journal Number does not mean that the candidate has completed submission of application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received.

The candidates shall follow the procedure for submission of online application as given in the Information Bulletin and instructions provided online, while filling up the online application form.d. The Candidate should be ready with scanned copy of the photograph of 500kb and Signature of 100kb before filling in the Online application.

 

Applications with no photo and signature / unclear photo and signature /inadequate size photograph will be rejected. Hall Ticket will not be issued to such candidates. Hence, after pressing the UPLOAD button, check if the photo and signature is of required size, clear and is of the same candidate whose details are to be filled in the application. If the photo and signature is smaller in size, not clear or does not belong to the candidate, press UPLOAD button below the photograph on the application form and restart with scanning of the photograph.

 

Complaints relating to mismatch of photograph and or candidate details will not be accepted after submission of application at any cost.

Candidate will get an SMS to the registered mobile no.

On successfully submission of application form online the candidate shall preserve the details (payment ID, Journal number etc.,) carefully for any kind of future correspondence.

On completion of submission, the candidates shall take a printout of the application and store it for future use. Candidates should not post the  printout of the application to TS TET Cell.

The implementation of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 requires the recruitment of a large number of teachers across the country in a time bound manner. In spite of the enormity of the task, it is desirable to ensure that quality requirement for recruitment of teachers is not diluted at any cost. It is therefore necessary to ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the Elementary level Classes (I to VIII)

 

TS TET Notification

Eligibility criteria for candidates for appearing for TS TET

The candidates at the time of applying for TS TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper - II) separately.

Minimum qualifications for TS TET paper 1 (classes I to V)

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

 OR

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks. In respect of SC / ST / BC / Physically Challenged candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. Note:

The candidates, who are appearing for the final year of Bachelor of Education OR Diploma in Elementary Education etc., are also eligible to appear for TET Examination subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for

Teacher Recruitment Test with this TET certificate, unless the candidate acquires requisite qualification.

A Diploma/Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Telangana State or its equivalent as recognized by BIE Telangana State only shall be considered. So also the Bachelor’s Degree of a University Recognized by UGC only shall be considered.

Date and Timings of TS TET 2024 Examination

TS TET-2024 will be conducted ONLINE as Computer Based Test between 20-05-2024 and 03-06-2024 in the 11 districts of the state. The duration and timings of the test are given below:

Session – I : 9.00 AM to 11.30 AM (duration two and half hours)

Session - II : 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM (duration two and half hours)

 

Online Payment of Exam fee

The exam fee prescribed for appearing for a Single Paper (i.e. only Paper I or only Paper II) is Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only). Candidates intending to appear for both Paper I and II shall pay a fee of Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only). Candidates can pay the exam fee through Online payment option provided at the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in between 27-03-2024 to 10-04-2024

Examination Centers (Districts) for TS TET

TS TET shall be conducted ONLINE as Computer Based Test between 20.05.2024 and 03.06.2024 in the 11 districts of the state. Candidates can submit order of preference of the examination centers (district). However, Convenor, TSTET-2024 has the discretion to allot candidates to the examination districts depending on the capacity of any particular district.

 

Pass Criteria in TS TET

The criteria for considering pass in TS TET is as follows:

 

1) General 60% and above

2) BC 50% and above

3) SC/ST/Differently abled (PH) 40% and above

 

Note: Physically disabled with at least 40% disability only will be considered in respect of visually and orthopedically disabled. With regard to Hearing Impaired, minimum 75% disability will be considered under PH category

Validity period of TS TET Certificate / Marks Memo

The validity period of TS TET qualifying certificates for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the Government of Telangana, would remain valid for life.

The implementation of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009 requires the recruitment of a large number of teachers across the country in a time bound manner. In spite of the enormity of the task, it is desirable to ensure that quality requirement for recruitment of teachers is not diluted at any cost. It is therefore necessary to ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at the Elementary level Classes (I to VIII)

 

TS TET Notification

Eligibility criteria for candidates for appearing for TS TET

The candidates at the time of applying for TS TET should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper - II) separately.

Minimum qualifications for TS TET paper 1 (classes I to V)

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

 OR

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks. In respect of SC / ST / BC / Physically Challenged candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. The structure and content of the TS TET is given in the  following paragraphs. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.

TS TET Exam paper patter and structure


There will be two papers of the TS TET, Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII shall have to appear for both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

TS TET Paper- 1 patter and structure:

Number of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) – 150

Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes:

Structure and Content (All Compulsory)

 

1) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks

2) Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks

3) Language II English 30 MCQs 30 Marks

4) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks

5) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

The test items on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level.

 

How to choose language – I of TS TET Paper-I: The following languages are offered under first Language in schools under State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marati, Tamil and Gujarati. A Candidate has to choose one of these 8 languages under Language-I of TSTET and those candidates should have compulsorily studied that language either as medium of study or as first language at least up to Class X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ICSE curriculum can choose the language which they have studied up to Class X.

 

The Language-II shall be English for all candidates.

 

The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V. The difficulty standard as well as linkages of content/topics could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing. The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) not only on content but also on Pedagogy. In Mathematics 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy. Similarly in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy.

 

The syllabi for Language I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the Language, Elements of language, Communication and Comprehension abilities (standard up to Class X level).

In 30 MCQs under Language I & II, each shall include 6 questions on Pedagogy of a Language.

The detailed syllabus for all subjects shall be designed by the SCERT and the same shall be issued along with Notification.

For Paper II, the syllabi for TS TET of Mathematics & Sciences, Social Studies are based on topics of Classes VI to VIII. The difficulty standard of questions as well as their linkages could be up to Senior Secondary Level (12th class).

 

The syllabi for Language I & II shall be based on proficiency in the language, elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities (standard up to Senior Secondary Level - 12th Class).

TS TET Medium of Question Paper:

The question paper shall be bilingual i.e. English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all languages except Sanskrit. For the  andidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari script).

All departmental expenditures should be initiated only through PFMS website. No other kinds of payments will be allowed as per the Government instructions.

National Common Entrance Test (NCET) Examination details

 National Common Entrance Test (NCET):

National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Qualifying in NCET is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission to 4 Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2023-24. 

The 4-year integrated B.Ed. will be a dual-major holistic bachelor’s degree, in Education as well as a specialized subject (such as language, history, music, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, economics, art, physical-education, etc). Beyond the teaching of cutting-edge pedagogy, the teacher education will include a grounding in sociology, history, science, psychology, early childhood care, and education, foundational literacy and numeracy, knowledge of India and its values/ethos/art/traditions, and more.


The ITEP is a Dual Major Programme -the first major is in Education with School Specific Stage specialization and the second major is in an opted discipline. The approach to the design and implementation of ITEP are:


Education in Multidisciplinary Environment

4 Year duration after grade 12 of the school system

Admission through National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by NTA

Minimal degree qualification to become a teacher by 2030

Responsive to new 5+3+3+4 design

Introduction of Credit System as per UGC

Integrated Dual-Major Degree- Disciplinary & Professional Knowledge of Education

Focus on 21st Century Skills

Stage Specialization (5+3+3+4): Each student will specialize in one of the following school stages which will qualify them to become teachers of that Stage:

i) Foundational Stage Specialization (for teaching Pre-School to Grade 2)

ii) Preparatory Stage Specialization (for teaching Grades 3 to Grade 5)

iii) Middle Stage Specialization (for teaching Grades 6 to Grade 8)

iv) Secondary Stage Specialization (for teaching Grades 9 to Grade 12)


The National Testing Agency has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) and inviting Online Applications of the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State University/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2023-24. 


National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducted the National Common Entrance Test NCET 2023 in 178 Cities and in 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for the Academic Session 2023-24 as per the schedule given below:


Important Dates of NCET National Common Entrance Test:

Online Submission of Application Form 26 June to 19 July 2023 (Up to 11:30 P.M.)

Last date of successful transaction of fee through Credit/Debit Card/Net-Banking/UPI 19 July 2023 (Up to 11:50 P.M.)

Correction in Particulars 20 July to 21 July 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.)

Announcement of the City of Examination To be announced later on the website

Downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website 03 days before the actual date of the Examination

NCET National Common Entrance Test


Eligibility to appear NCET National Common Entrance Test:

For appearing in the NCET 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in NCET 2023 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill

the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Government College to which they are desirous of taking admission.


List of Qualifying Examinations (QE) to appear NCET National Common Entrance Test:

i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.

ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.

iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.

iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

vi. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.

vii. Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination. 


NCET Medium of Examination:

Medium of the Question Papers: Drawing from the National Education Policy (NEP), the NCET 2023 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu


Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination:

For year of appearance in Class 12 / equivalent examination, relevant conditions of Central/State University/Institutions which also include IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective Central/State University/Institutions which also include IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges.


Scheme of Examination of NCET

Section 3 - General TestThis is a mandatory part. The General Test will have 25 questions. All questions will be compulsory
Section 4 – Teaching AptitudeThis is a mandatory part. Teaching Aptitude will have 20 questions. All questions will be compulsory

Note:
1. In total, there will be 160 questions to be attempted.
2. The examination will be conducted on multiple days in two shifts, depending on the number of Candidates and Subject choices.

SCHEDULE OF NCET EXAMINATION:

There are two shifts for conduct of NCET Examination

Shift 1: 9 AM to 12 Noon (180 minutes)

Shift 2: 3PM to 6PM (180 minutes).
